During our recent weekend getaway to Cauterets, my son and I had a delightful stay at Hôtel-Residence Le Lys, perfectly situated just steps away from the cable cars that whisk you into the stunning Pyrenees. The views from our room overlooking the Vignemale were nothing short of breathtaking, and the cozy setting made for a wonderful retreat after our outdoor adventures. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, guiding us to local bakeries and attractions - having such engaged employees truly enhances the overall experience. We appreciated the kitchenette in our room, which allowed us to prepare breakfast at our leisure, complemented by the peacefulness of the fridge. In the afternoons, we loved unwinding by the fireplace in the communal lounge – a cozy corner that felt like home after exploring the majestic landscapes. The access to hiking trails from the hotel was fantastic, making it easy for us to soak in the beauty around Gaube Lake and beyond. I can’t recommend Hôtel-Residence Le Lys enough for anyone looking to embrace the natural beauty and adventure the Pyrenees have to offer!
